So, we've had a bit of a hiccup here in the house of Yum this week. Poor DD (darling daughter) has Scarlet Fever and given the rattiness of DS (yep, you guessed it, darling son), I'd say child number 2 will follow soon. On an upbeat note, Mr Farmer has had a busy morning and is happy with himself having caught and weighed so many new calves, plus we have had 28mls of rain so far today and it's still going. Rain makes for happy farmers. You will probably notice how much more light hearted my posts will be when it's raining. Even amongst the scarlet fevers of the Mummy world! Thermie got a bit of a rest yesterday, as I worked during the day and DD wanted "bones to chew on" for dinner, so it was lamb chops baked with pesto (cheated and used the shop stuff as I don't have any basil atm). Accompanied by chips and steamed veg. Such happy little monkeys as they chewed those precious bones! Tonight we are going to have the lasagne I made on Tuesday and I thin...
So um, sitting here right now, I'm thinking my thermie is pretty amazing! Thermie is currently mixing and cooking meat sauce for my lasangne, having already made the bechamel sauce previous to this, while I sit here and play on my computer! Win!  I'm off to do a Tupperware party tonight, not too far to go for this one, as it's in the local town, so hopefully not too late tonight. Meanwhile, FIL (Father in Law) is overseas at the moment, so have invited MIL (did you guess? Mother in Law), to dinner, having forgotten I was going out! Oh well, don't have to leave until 6:30pm, so will hopefully have everyone fed before then, with Thermie's help :-) Lasagne will be finished soon, popped in the fridge ready for an easy post-work dinner on Wednesday night. Then I am going to try the butter chicken recipe from the EDC (everyday cookbook). I am excited about this one, as I rarely get to eat those kinds of dishes as I have a problem with chilli (the kind of problem wher...
Hi! I am a busy Mum of currently 3 year old twins. Life is kinda crazy around here. I'm married to Mr Farmer, who, surprise, is a farmer. This means he works too much, but the up side is that his work can (for the most part) have a little bit of flexibility. Our children are awesome, so vibrant and fun. Oh and a little exhausting :-) Anyway, I love food. I also love cooking. Last week I got a Thermomix (Squeeee!!!), with my hard earned tax return ;-) This blog is mostly so that I can look back and remember whether Thermie was always as easy as it seems!  Also, to keep a record of what works, what doesn't, favourite recipes etc. Anyone who happens to come along for the ride is welcome! Love, Diva xx
